Mixed methods scoping review of patients’ experiences of urgent and emergency cancer care
Acute Oncology services throughout the UK are trying to assess patient experience of their services and often contact UKAOS asking for advice and support in gathering this information.
As an organisation we appreciate that assessing patient experience is a vital element of service quality assessment and monitoring. It should be at the heart of organisational service development.
We also recognise that when services and organisations collect and share similar data it allows us to develop a much larger picture of the patient pathway and experience. Allowing us to identify excellence and concerns, locally, regionally and nationally.
UKAOS are very supportive of the PREMAC group and hope that their work will lead to the development of a validated PREM that can be used throughout the UK.
